A Beautiful Day in the (Market District) Neighborhood

It's cooler today and the humidity is low. We had quite a rain overnight and awoke to a glorious morning.

Andrew decided he wanted this--

So, we headed to Fulton Street--the wholesale market district--where, Monday through Saturday, restauranteurs, independent grocers, florists and others line up to procure the freshest of everything. On Sunday, it is quiet.

We parked less than a block away from one of our favorite restaurants, The Publican.

The Publican specializes in all things swine and they do it very well.

This porcine portrait was directly in front of me but I was not intimidated!!

I waived our waitress right over and ordered The Publican's version of eggs benedict.

My new assistant, Oliver, was trying to be helpful and caused some of the photos to be out of order. I can't figure out how to right them and neither can he. Nevertheless, it was a delicious brunch.
